Marine Divison


 

The marine service dredges (bringing up objects or mud from a river or seabed by scooping, making the areas of water deeper) rivers and canals, they also set rock to make dikes (an embankment built to prevent flooding), and haul rock on barges to other places by way of the lake.

The company has 8 tug boats and 20 barges.  Services they have done include:

  • Shoreline protection for Maumee Bay State Park in Oregon Ohio
  • Geneva State Park in Ashtabula County Ohio
  • Sandusky Bay Railroad bridge and causeway
  • Fabricated numerous fishing accesses
  • Dredging of the Toledo Harbor and Maumee River
  • Constructed a dike for breakwater revetment for the US Army Corp of Engineers at Cooley Canal in Curtis, Ohio

         The George Gradel Company operates with a full crew and a liscend tug boat captain.
